Mary Cross, born and raised in
Ontario, Canada, has been an
entrepreneur all her life.
Early in
her career, as an Art Instructor, a
direct prodigy of her artistic
parents, Mary was
compelled to teach
others her skills and talents.
Mary has always had the knack of
finding that diamond in the rough;
most pass it by, but not Mary! Her
artistic background called upon her
to open a series of successful
stores known as My Back Shed.
Putting her talents to work, Mary
transformed furniture and forgotten
possessions into rejuvenated,
functional pieces that lead to the
revolution of shabby chic.
Not
stopping there, she became a
motivational speaker, sharing her
expertise, knowledge
and skills.
The success of My Back Shed brought
quick media attention. From all of
the marketing and media exposure,
Mary quickly learned exactly what it
takes to promote a product. Having
this knowledge and a decade of
retail experience, she felt the need
to evolve to the next level in her
career to become a wholesale
distributor.
Mary quickly became the
acclaimed Canadian National
Distributor for
Pick Up Sticks Jewelry Co.
expanding their distribution in
Canada from 8 retail stores to
800 retail stores, in two and a
half years.
With this exceptional success
under her belt, Mary plunged forward
and opened her own distribution
company, Jewellery and Company.
Jewellery&Co.
represents a company dedicated to
not only selling jewellery, but
other companies' innovative
products, such a handmade purses,
trinkets, belts, belt buckles and
photo charms.
Still passionate about what she
sells, Mary says, “I would only
promote a product that I would sell
in my own stores”. Always driven to
keep ahead of the market trends Mary
is continuously introducing fresh,
unique products to retailers that
have proven sales success.
